tad mcintosh, president

Tad has over 20 years of experience in leadership positions in recruiting and human resources management. He founded HumCap in 2001, as a comprehensive provider of Human Capital Solutions for knowledge worker companies. Prior to founding HumCap, Tad was the Chief Talent Officer at Broadband Gateways, a tech firm in Plano. Prior to Broadband Gateways, he spent 5 years as the Director of Engineering Recruiting Services for Source Services, later acquired by Romac International (now Kforce).

Tad spent six years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army as Director of Recruiting at Atlanta, GA. His other Army assignments include The US Honor Guard in Washington DC, and The DMZ in South Korea. Tad finished his active duty service as a Captain and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (MSM). Tad earned the coveted Army Airborne, Ranger, and Air Assault Qualifications.

Tad holds a BS in Systems Engineering from West Point and a Masters of Science from CMU. In addition, Tad holds leadership positions with numerous community organizations including, Entrepreneur Foundation of North Texas, Boy Scouts of America, Highland Park Presbyterian Church, The West Point Society of North Texas, and Texas Tough. Tad enjoys participating in triathlons around the country and has successfully completed the 2001 Hawaiian Ironman World Championships.

Margaret button, hr consultant

Margaret Button has more than 20 years experience in human resources and recruiting.  Before joining HumCap, Margaret was a Human Resources Consultant, providing HR and Organization consulting for Global 500 companies, including the Samsung group, as well as many small and mid-sized organizations.  This consulting has included HR compliance audits, coherent and pertinent policy & procedure development for benefits, compensation, employee Relations, and Recruiting to be used for streamlining, ISO & SOX compliance, and cross-training.  She also supported employers in employee relations, recognition, training and development, payroll, performance management, EEO,  sexual harassment, ADA, FLSA, I9 audit, benefits, FMLA, workers’ compensation, employee theft and fraud, progressive discipline, orderly termination and unemployment, recruiting, interviewing, hiring and staffing.

Prior to moving into consulting, Margaret served as head of Human Resources Consulting Services for a Professional Employers Organization (PEO) and had been an HR Professional for an affiliate of Northrup-Grumman.  Additionally, Margaret has worked in several HR development roles for small, growing companies.

Margaret has a BA from Austin College, with a dual concentration in Psychology and French, is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and Dallas HR Management Association.


heather guarnera, safety and hr consultant

Heather Guarnera, Safety and HR Consultant, possesses over fifteen years of occupational health and human resources experience and expertise. She has consulted with past clients including, UPS, Boeing, Nabisco, The Rose Bowl and Georgia Pacific. Heather has an extensive background in drug and alcohol policy and regulations compliance.

Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from The Ohio State University. She is a certified Drug Screen and Breath Alcohol Instructor by the Department of Transportation, Certified in Impairment Recognition, has her DOT Substance Abuse Management Certification and is also certified in Medical and Safety Compliance Training from OSHA.

Heather is very active in the community, volunteering her time and services for many community projects.  She volunteers on a weekly basis with ManeGait Therapeutic Horse Center in McKinney where she helps disabled children and adults reach beyond their boundaries by therapeutic horseback services. She was presented with the Volunteer All Star award for over 250 hours of service in 2012.
